Death and Taxes
Here's something I've been pondering for a while now...
If I think that someone is being selfish and not thinking about others, specifically me, then am I too being incredibly selfish?
If I think that someone has a superiority complex and have that bias when thinking about them and their actions, then do I not think I am better than them, and therefore have a superiority complex myself?
Can we only see faults in others that we refuse to see in ourselves?

In lighter matters, a good Good Friday to you. And you know what Good Friday means ... yup, time to do my taxes.
I don't know why I always do my taxes on or around Good Friday. I guess it was one year while I was in high school and working at the grocery store. My brother and I had the day off from both school and work, so rather than have us tear around the house and drive them up the wall, our parents suggested we take the opportunity to do our taxes. Ever since, Good Friday has served as a reminder to get going on my return.
But I guess it is appropriate, after all, since Good Friday marks the day Jesus was nailed to the cross, and you know what they say — there are only two things certain in life: death and taxes.
**rim shot** Thank you, thank you. You're too kind. I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress. Try the shrimp; it's fabulous.
